Kathmandu- Lumbini - Kathmandu
Kathmandu is known as the city of temples and after you land here, you will be amazed to see how many temples this place has. This place is full of Hindu and Buddhist temples, ranging from a tiny one to dozens and hundreds at one place. The three Durbar squares, BoudhaStupa, Swoyambhunathstupa (Monkey Temple) and Pashupatinath are the major attractions of Kathmandu. There are other small ponds and temples all over the Kathmandu valley but these are the main ones which will make you feel like you are in a different world.
Moving from details of Kathmandu towards Lumbini we will be heading to the birth place of Lord Gautam Buddha. Lord Buddha is the religious leader behind Buddhism and he was born in Lumbini. His birthplace and his palace is all conserved and protected inside the Mayadevi Temple which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Besides the temple lies a sacred pool and the Ashoka pillar, which was erected by Emperor Ashoka in the 249 BC. The vibes that you get after entering the Mayadevi temple area is so different. You will feel the calmness and peacefulness inside the temple.
All in all the tour from Kathmandu to Lumbini will be drastic because you will be moving from crowded Kathmandu to the calm Lumbini. Besides Lumbini there are many other religious Buddhist monuments which you can visit.
You can change this itinerary, services, accommodation, duration of this trip etc.to suit your needs and budget. The choice is yours. Let us help you tailor your perfect holiday.
Kathmandu has a lot of places to roam around. If you take time and visit all the places properly, you might have to spend weeks here. However, for people who are in a rush, we can have a quick visit to some of the most popular places in Kathmmandu. The places that you must not miss when you come to Kathmandu are Kathmandu Durbar Square, SwayambhunathStupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and BoudhanathStupa. These places are listed in the world heritage sites by UNESCO. Including the above four places, there are many other places where you can go to visit in Kathmandu so if there is any place that you would particularly like to see, we can make adjustments. We will not be able to get the best experience in a day visiting many places so we can choose one place and visit and know it well too if you choose to. After completing the day we can choose to go out to see the nightlife in Kathmandu or take a good rest for tomorrow’s journey.
Looking at our flight schedule or our travel schedule we can make changes in the Kathmandu sightseeing. It can be done on the first day of your visit or it can also be shifted to the third day of your tour.

Lunch, Dinner & Breakfast
After having our breakfast we will go to visit Mayadevi temple which takes about 10-15 minutes on foot or we can get on a rickshaw from the main entrance of Lumbini. After getting out of the temple, the Ashoka Pillar stands in the Lumbini garden and the holy pool is also nearby. That pool is considered to be the one where the mother of Lord Buddha took the ritual dip prior to his birth. It is also the place where Lord Buddha had had his first bath. There is also the birthmaker stone. After completing our visit to Mayadevi temple we have our lunch and fly back or travel by road to Kathmandu.
This brings us to the end our tour but if we return back early and you want to see the night life of Kathmandu and sit at a place to chill, you can go to Thamel area where there are lots of hotel and restaurants which offer great food and service. You are more likely to want to spend more days travelling around here or return back soon after the completion of your tour.
