After early breakfast, your tour to Manaslu Circuit trek begins from Kathmandu to Arunghat and eventually towards Sothi Khola. After having breakfast at the tea house of Sothi Khola, the journey begins by crossing a bridge, before you trek through a forest, then climb into a ridge above the wild rapids of Budi Gandaki River. You will reach Khursane on a rocky trail, with an amazing view of two tropical waterfalls on the step, a towering cliff, and Sal forest. You will encounter the dispersed settlement where you can enjoy local food from the local inhabitance, Ghale, and Gurung. As you reach Nayakhola, you can see trekkers and locals praying to the local deities, rivers, and mountains to protect them throughout the journey. You need to be alert on the way, better walk on the wall side to prevent yourself from slipping down hillside and mules.

The following day after having a warm breakfast you will begin to walk across the twisting road on the bank of Budhi Gandaki River. On the way to Tharo Khola, you will be walking through the forest where you see many Monkeys and Langurs. As you come across Khorlabeshi, a Grung village you will witness Gurung people in their beautiful traditional attire. Walking further you will reach Tatopani where you can take a warm shower and relax your body. After reaching Yaru Khola you cross a long cantilever bridge to reach Jagat and Manaslu Conservation area where you verify your trekking permits at check post as we will be now walking in a restricted region.

After having a warm breakfast and verifying the permits to enter the restricted zone of Manaslu and Tusum Valley at the checkpoint at Jagat our journey to Lokpa begins. We hike over an edge to Salleri and cross the Budhi Gandaki River on a long suspension bridge. On the way to Philim, the valley starts widening and we can see the dispersed settlement of local tribes. The track gets divided towards Tsum and Manaslu as we reach Ekle Bhatti. From here we shall climb over a ridge to Lokpa. We need to turn right from Tusm Valley to reach Lokpa village. Here you can enjoy the majestic view of Manaslu range, Himalchuli along with Boudha Himal. Lokpa village is said to be blessed by Padmshamva. Tibetan Guru Padmasambhava is generally referred to as Guru Rinpoche. This means “precious master.”

After having a warm breakfast at Lokpa we start our journey towards Thsum Valley. On the way to Chumling, we encounter the Majestic view of Baudha Himal and Ganesh Himal VI. From Chumling we head towards Lungwa river valley and then hike up through a silent tropical forest of dense rhododendron and pine to Gumling. The trial gets divided at Gumling from there we cross Syar Khola and reach the village of Chumling. While in Chuming we can explore three monasteries of Panago Gumba, Mani Dhungyur, and Gurwa Gumba. From there we can also see the amazing view of the Ganesh Himal.

From Chumling we descend towards the Syar River to Domje and hike over 500 meters to the Largest city in Tusm Valley. From there we continue our journey to Chhokangparo from here we can view the majestic views of Himalchuli and Ganesh Himal. With the rise in altitude, you need to be more careful about your body and do not neglect the sign your body gives. From Chhokang Paro we head east through small villages and past a local school, climb over a ridge of chores, and past Lamagaon through the flat fields, across the river to the huge courtyard of the Rachen Gompa with delightful pilgrim accommodation. In Lamagaon we can see Piren Phu cave of St. Milarepa where his footprint is still preserved and noticeable in the rock. Piren Phu aka pigeon cave is one of the holiest caves in the Tsum valley. Near the village of Burji, we encounter the beautiful scene of the valley cave monastery. While in Burji you can see richly painted Buddhist murals, exceptional artistic scripts carved on stones, long prayer flags, and amazing Buddhist paper scripts. You can see children wearing Tibetan gown called Chubas. From Burji we continue our journey to Shiar River. We cross finally cross the Shiar River through the suspension bridge and head towards the Nile, where we spend our night and are prepared for a hike to Mu Gompa the very next day.

We will have our breakfast at the Nile and visit Mu Gompa as a day trip. Here you can visit the remote Dhephu Doma nunnery and gompa. You can easily reach Mu Gompa within a short walk along the west bank of the valley close to the Tibetan border. Here we can see the beautiful monasteries with rows of Chortens, yak pastures, and arid Trans Himalayan Terrain. Dephyudonma monastery which is run by Lama is one of the ancient monasteries in Tusum.

Chhokang Paro is a small village nestled deep in the Tusm valley. The place is situated in Gandaki Province. Many rivers flow below this valley. We will leave for Chhokang Paro after breakfast. It is a quite remote part of Nepal full of Tibetan culture and calm. You can visit remote communities of this place and know more about their lifestyle. You are welcomed into people’s homes and given tea, tsampa,, and saag.

Their major occupation is farming and cattle rearing. The roads of the village are rocky and steep because transportation is not well developed here. However, you will enjoy the natural beauty of this place. There may not be better internet connectivity in these remote areas. So, you need to have patience for some days.

The next day we will continue our journey towards Deng. You can observe the steep hills and mountains and the roads are not so easy. Therefore, trekkers are highly suggested to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Our trek deviates from the classic route here and heads back to higher ground. After breakfast in Deng, you will first, cross the Budhi Gandaki river and climb up to the bridge, where you'll climb a bit further to join a trail from Bhi. Then head west up the valley passing through lush forests, and attractive villages housing ethnic groups of the Manaslu region. From here Major peak starts to appear, the astonishing view of snowcapped Siring Himal can be captured. Walking shall be continued until the forest becomes less dense. You will be refreshed to walk through Manaslu Conservation Area and one last steep climb will get you to the village of Namrung.

Early morning after having breakfast in Namrung you can explore the village, the local people their lifestyle. The village has a good viewpoint of Mount Himal Chuli, Syringe, and Ganesh Himal. Once on track, you climb steadily and pass through the forest to reach Lihi and the track then drops and crosses the side valley of Simnang Himal and Ganesh Himal. then you will pass through Sho, Lho, and Shyala before reaching Sama Village. While in Shyala village you'll be surrounded by high mountains like Himal Chuli and Peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli), Manaslu, and large glaciers.

As a day of rest, we will spend a day at Sama Gaun. Sama Gaun is the village of the Nubri people which holds a large gompa, many shops, a health post, heliport, and telephone/wifi access. Enjoy a refreshing breakfast and then spend the day at Samagaon getting some rest and sleep. You can explore the village, the Sherpa people their lifestyle, their traditional attire and ornaments, mani stones with Buddhist texts. Near Sama village, you will find an old gompa—Pungyen Gompa—a monastery with great views of the glacier.

After having a rest day your journey to Samdo begins, once in the trek, you will pass several mani walls. This is a short day trek as you are at a high altitude you need to walk slowly. On the way, you will see extended yak pastures up a broad valley with long mani walls, with different species of birds. From here you will climb to a ridge across the wooden bridge of Buri Gandaki before you reach white Kani, which is the neighboring village of Sama Gaun. On the way you will find a stone archway, from there you need to continue your walking till you reach the village of Samdo.

You will move through a seasonal Tibetan market called Larke Bazaar and descend to the Budi Gandaki River. After crossing Wooden Bridge walk upwards until you witness Larkya Glacier. Along the routes, you will be able to see some traditional monasteries. Then you head towards the valley of Sakhu Khola and walk slowly across the rugged terrains of the Manaslu region before you reach Dharmasala aka Larke Phedi.

This is another adventurous and special day as you will walk to Larkya la Pass (5160) which is the highest point of the trek. You will cross the pass before the afternoon so you need to wake up early and leave the teahouse quite early as you will set out on a longer hike so you need to have a proper breakfast. After a climb, you'll arrive at a valley on the side of the Larkya Glacier. There you'll enjoy great views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak.
You will catch incredible views of Himlung (7126m) near Tibet and Kang Guru (6981m) and Annapurna II (7937m) within the Annapurna Range spending your special time at the pass, you will walk down from around three hours towards Bimthang for an overnight stay. You will be excited to see Manaslu Mountain approaching you.

After having a warm breakfast in Bimthang, head towards the nearby point where you can enjoy great views of Manaslu, Lamjung Himal Cheo Himal, and Himlung Himal. Keep descending in the track and cross the bridge of Dudh Khola River and walk through beautiful rhododendron forest. Walk till you reach the highest cultivated land of the valley at Karcher. The track comes off the edge in a big, sweeping arc to the river bank; continue walking until you get to Tilije.

After having breakfast on Tilije, we head towards Tal. The valley becomes more agricultural and plush as you pass fields and copses of oak and rhododendron, staying on the north bank until Tilije. From there, you will continue to able towards Dharapani and continue to Tal. After you reach Tal, follow the track down to the village of Chyamje crossing the beautiful Marsyangdi Khola in a suspension bridge, and move towards Beshisahar. The way to Kathmandu through Besi Sahar offers a chance to adore both hill and mountain landscapes often coming into direct view with the banks of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers. You'll also drive by some beautiful villages with farming terraces on each side of the road.

You will be provided an experienced guide for a group of 1-5. However, for the group of 6-12 individuals, you will have 2 professional guides. The package consists of 2 porters for every 2 individuals. You need to pack your bags lightly because you will not be able to carry heavy loads along with the trek. You will not be able to enjoy your journey in the Himalayas unless you pack wisely. You will be sleeping in small lodges and tea houses during the entire trip. Please be prepared with the right clothes as per the season. It will get colder at the higher elevations especially during winters. Annapurna circuit sees about 10,000+ trekkers per annum (it was 65,000 in 1995!) compared to Manaslu’s 2,000. Manaslu Circuit Trek is the least crowded and peaceful trek compared to Annapurna Circuit Trek.
The trek is comparatively easier than any other trek. This is because it involves shorter days of trekking. You have to reach elevations of a maximum of 4460m. You only have to stay for a few days on higher elevations. Despite this, it is very essential to take precautionary measures. There are green forests in the low altitude which provides plenty of fresh air. The trek begins at an altitude of 800m/2,625 feet which allows sufficient days for adaptation.
The best month for the Manaslu Circuit trek is during the pre-monsoon months. This is generally from March to May. However, post-monsoon months starting from late September till December are also considered favorable. However, you need to prepare accordingly during the winter seasons. Some people also go trekking in February and early September.
You will be guided by experts who are experienced and have been to camp multiple times for years. Our guides are locals who communicate in English. They acquire deep knowledge of the mountain, people, culture, hygiene, and safety.
